Over the past year, I have had the privelegd to instruct at a community darkroom at the New Castle Co https://www.newcastlede.gov/259/Art-Studio unty Art Studio . I didn’t come to the darkroom as an expert, but had just enough knowledge to keep the program open, and a belief that these kinds of spaces matter. I have been happily learning alongside my students ever since; the beginners who may have never stepped foot in a darkroom before (or are new to photography altogether)

To be completely honest, I’ve had a rough couple of weeks of toddler tantrums. Except: Hugo just turned four. Is he even a toddler anymore? Four is a liminal age. Not quite a toddler, not quite a “big kid,” suddenly very aware of their own power, while still learning to regulate their behavior and having a completely undeveloped nervous system. So no, he isn’t really a toddler anymore… but he is absolutely not past tantrums.  There are moments when I want to swear off taking
